Celtic Hospice's very own Sister Catherine Higgins, Social
Worker and Chaplain, was recently interviewed on WORD-FM 101.5,
Sister Catherine eloquently spoke about the fears,
expectations, and vulnerabilities of dying. She spoke of the importance
of us companioning each other on life's journey, and just being there for
each other when there is nothing we can do to change a difficult or stressful
situation.
Celtic Healthcare’s Ministry of Presence means:
● Paying attention to the “whole” person, body, mind, and
spirit
● Listening to what the dying have to teach us about living
● Taking time to notice and encourage a person’s spiritual
life
● Allowing our patients to lead in the conversation
● Companioning our patients on their journey
● Creating opportunity for a sacred outreach
Thank you, Sister Catherine, for being a beautiful example of
Celtic Hospice and teaching us all how to simply "be present".

Presence and how it applies to Celtic's Hospice program, please contact
