Partnering
With and Providing Value Everyday To…
Physicians
In tandem with National Doctor's Day (March 30), Celtic
Healthcare would like to feature the ways that we partner with and provide
value to our physician referral sources. Physicians are the central
part of our patients' health - and we understand and recognize the importance
of keeping our physician partners informed - in whatever manner works best
for them.
Celtic Healthcare
provides value through:
Celtic
Healthcare Liaisons - Physician teams can be
provided with a Celtic Healthcare Liaison - a clinical professional who keeps
the physician aware of all important information regarding their patient
being cared for under one of Celtic Healthcare's wide array of home
healthcare services. Celtic liaisons work with our physicians to
communicate in the most efficient and comprehensive manner. They stay
current with every patient's health status… helping to provide the best
continuum of care and smooth care transitions.
CIBS - Our
proprietary Celtic Integrated Business System (CIBS), a web-based software
product that manages the efficient delivery and workflow of homecare
services, is a state-of-the art technology, which considerably reduces the
need for paperwork. CIBS keeps medical records online and efficiently
automates workflow assignments. CIBS also provides a conduit for physicians
to access information virtually from any location, quickly and securely.
Chronic
Disease Management - Any healthcare
professional knows how great a need today’s healthcare arena has in
regard to heart disease education and care – and physicians
can’t do it alone.
Unless a heart disease patient experiences a critical or significantly
life-threatening health problem, the patient spends most of their time
outside of a hospital or a physician’s direct care. Partnering
with Celtic Healthcare’s Heart Failure Disease Management Program
provides a patient-centric, multidisciplinary approach to reducing avoidable
re-hospitalization, including reducing 30-day hospital readmission rates and
promoting patient self-management.
These are just a few
of the valuable services that Celtic Healthcare provides for our
physicians. For more information, please call 1.800.355.8894 or visit

National Doctor's
Day is always on March 30th. National Doctor's Day was
created to show appreciation to our doctors. Doctors perform vital
diagnoses, treatment and care for us and our families. When you are
well, your doctor keeps you well. When you are sick, there is no other person
more important to you than your doctor!
Doctor's Day
observances date back to March 30, 1933. It was started by Eudora Brown
Almond of Winder, GA. The day marks the anniversary of the first use of
general anesthesia in surgery. The first National Doctor's Day was
celebrated in 1991.
On March 30, 1958,
the United States House of Representatives adopted a resolution commemorating
Doctor's Day. In 1990, the Congress and the Senate approved legislation
establishing National Doctor's Day. The resolution designating March 30
as National Doctor's Day was signed by President George Bush.
Don’t
forget to thank your physician on March 30th!
