Help Us Choose Home - Join the Cause!

Celtic's full continuum of care provides individuals with unmatched expertise and compassion during the vulnerable moments of a sickness or declining health. We have heard from our own customers first-hand - as they describe the positive experiences they have had with home care and the emotional benefits of healing when they are able to stay in their own homes.

Homecare

HOME CARE is at the center of the health care continuum - Disability, heart disease, breathing problems, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, multiple chronic diseases… nearly all of us know or love someone who is affected by one of these multifaceted medical problems and require the efficient and compassionate caring that is provided through home care.

The home health industry recently started a national awareness campaign - Help Us Choose Home. The Pennsylvania Homecare Association (PHA) will now launch a statewide Help us Choose Home campaign to prevent cuts to home health funding and also to promote homecare and hospice services, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and consumer preference.

This campaign - running through November, 2009, has recognized goals that will only be accomplished with support and active participation from PHA members:

  1. Establish communication and build relationships with local legislators to deliver homecare's current and future messages
  2. Increase consumer and community awareness of homecare & hospice services and effectiveness
  3. Focus Attention on Keeping Families at Home

Celtic Participates in Mahoning County Senior Fair

Staff members from the Celtic Healthcare of Northeast Ohio (NEO) office recently participated in a Senior Fair hosted by the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department. Team members assisted as the seniors who attended played bingo, listened to live music, danced, received lunch, blood pressure screening and had the opportunity to receive important healthcare and senior awareness information.

"It was a great day for the NEO Celtic team to inform the public of all the services available at Celtic Healthcare. Thank you to all you volunteered their services!"
- Maureen Pusch, Operations Manager/Celtic Community Services.

"Attending the senior fair with my daughter and the Celtic team was a wonderful experience! Witnessing the preparation and genuine passion that our employees displayed in order to service the seniors, was a true testament of Celtic’s commitment to the community and our core values!"
- Emily Morris, Business Development Coordinator
