Celtic's NE Ohio Hospice Grief Camp Helps Young People to Cope with Loss
Celtic Healthcare's Hospice of Northeast Ohio held a grief camp on Saturday, October 3rd for children who have lost a loved one. The one-day camp was held in conjunction with Belmont Pines at their facility on Churchill Road.
The camp staffers were members of Celtic Healthcare's Hospice Team. The children ranged in age from 5 to 17 years. A variety of activities included a rope tower climb, crafts, stories and a balloon release.
All the activities were directed towards managing and expressing feelings of grief, which many young people have difficulty in doing. The camp is free and is held yearly for anyone in the community.
