This workshop, a joint effort between the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) and the National Institute on Aging (NIA), focused on identifying clinical needs and opportunities in regard to personal motion technologies for healthcare that promote independent living.

Tonya's panel focused on Helping the Helper: Addressing the Needs of the Caregiver in the Home. The discussion centered around ease of use of monitoring technology and communication of information to caregivers, nurses and physicians.

Workshop participants included experts from research institutions, federal agencies that support innovative research related to the integration of technology and aging needs, and the Intel Corporation.

Sue Springob is Celtic's Customer Service Champion of the Month!
Sue Springob, Home Health Aide is being honored as June's Customer Service Champion of the Month. This award, which is determined from nominations by coworkers and managers, is a monthly initiative to reward great customer service.

Recently, Sue arrived at a patient's home for a scheduled visit when the patient did not answer the door, Sue continued to try and reach the patient throughout the day. After a full day of not being able to reach the patient Sue called 911. Emergency services broke into the home to find that the patient had fallen and was unable to get up. If Sue hadn't been so in tune with her patient and their habits, the patient could have been sitting on the floor for days.

Sue has been a Home Health Aide at Celtic for over 2 years. She repeatedly goes above and beyond for her patients. "I want to do my best when caring for my patients. I try to care for them as they were my friends or family."

Thank you Sue for consistently displaying EXTRAordinary customer service. It is with great pleasure that we honor you as June's Customer Service Champion of the Month!
