| This Year, Kids Gave Gifts to Santa |
On Saturday, December 6th, Celtic Healthcare opened its doors (and chimney) to host Celtic Charities' 2ndAnnual Breakfast with Santa event for kids of all ages, which benefited the Toys for Tots organization. Volunteers were present from Celtic Healthcare, The Marine Corps League of the Ohio Valley Detachment #882, the USS Marine Association, Inc., the ROTC Junior Marine Corps, and Toys for Tots to assist the children with the many activities provided at the event. Attendees brought in gifts for underprivileged children - and Celtic Charities donated all proceeds to Toys for Tots. In return, every child won a gift, regardless of the activities participated in. Bob Evans of Cranberry provided a complimentary and delicious breakfast, as well as serving staff. Brian Dunkle, General Manager of Bob Evans of Cranberry, provided Breakfast with Santa attendees with scrambled eggs, home fries, pancakes, sausage links, biscuits, banana and pumpkin bread, and all the trimmings to complete the breakfast.
"This event marks the beginning of the holiday season for Celtic Healthcare," says Celtic Healthcare CEO Arnie Burchianti.
Families dined in the Duquesne Room at Celtic Healthcare's Headquarters, while Santa kept his lap open for children eager to whisper their wishes for Christmas morning.
"We are so grateful for each and every family who attended, as well as the numerous Celtic Healthcare employees who donated stocking stuffers and volunteered their time and to Bob Evans for the donation of the wonderful breakfast," says Celtic Charities Director Darlene Janidas. "Our goal was to make every child feel special - and we feel that we accomplished this." |
