| Celtic's Northeast Ohio Team Participates in Relay For Life |
A 2010 Relay For Life event was held on May 14th and 15th at Churchill Park in Liberty Township, Ohio. Because cancer never sleeps - this event lasted for 24 hours!
With teams of people camping out at the park and taking turns walking or running around a track, it was a fun-filled and action-packed 2 days. A Celtic team of 30 employees and their family members participated. The team's theme was Mind, Body and Spirit - utilizing the Celtic triquetra logo.
Various teams participated in competitions including Best Late Night Snack, Funny Talent Contest and Best Tent Design- with Celtic winning the Funny Talent contest as Regional Director Dawn Dominic and her "belly dancing troupe" wowed the crowds at 2 a.m.
This event, which included over 40 teams, brought in over $178,000. As first- time participants, the Celtic team raised $4660.65, and is already looking forward to next year's event!
